Making an Impact in our Communities

Our employees come together to support the communities in which they live and work through our employee giving program, Ascendium Cares.

Ascendium’s employees do this by supporting nonprofit organizations that serve community members with significant needs. Through their work throughout our communities, employees gain a greater awareness of the challenges people from low-income backgrounds face. This year, Ascendium’s 271 employees donated over 1,400 hours of their time to more than 85 organizations through our paid Volunteer Time Off. Additionally, they volunteered over 5,600 hours of their own time outside of work.

The year also brought our first-ever Good Neighbor Grant campaign, through which Ascendium awarded $15,000 each to 20 nonprofit organizations in our communities that share our commitment to increasing education and workforce training outcomes for learners from low-income backgrounds. Our employees nominated and voted for organizations that they felt best represented Ascendium’s philanthropic ideals in their communities.

Through corporate giving initiatives and employee match programs, Ascendium provided more than $1.3 million to our local communities in 2021.
